Don t know what happened to this post it just disappeared, so I put it back to see if it happens again.

Can t say enough good things about this park and campground. Our site # 56 was large and shaded with beautiful oak trees with electricity and water. The baths were clean with great water pressure. The ocean was within walking distance from our site with beautiful sandy beaches. The city of St. Augustine is only a short drive with all it s old time glory and historical sites. The fort was worth the trip if only to see the cannon fire. Yup, I highly recommend Anastasia we had a wonderful time.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at Anastasia (campsite #86) and LOVED IT!  Very nice, wooded / shaded sites with water and power.  Very clean restrooms, beach is also wonderful with a nice (newly opened) camp store / beach store and rental place.  I highly recommend this camping spot!

Couple of notes:

1 - Racoons are PLENTY and the DO know how to open that cooler.  Be sure to store it inside the camper or in your vehicle.  Best not to eat in tents so they don't damage tents to get to food.

2 - Bikes are great to have here.  Some of the camp sites are a bit of a hike to the beach (we were about a mile or so away).  You can easily bike it (paved roadways) or just hop in your vehicle and drive over.

3 - Lots to do.  St. Augustine is historic and has a number of attractions and tours you can do.

4 - Reserve in advance for winter camping.  This place is busy (for good reason).  The campground was fully booked the entire time we were there.

We plan to return late this year!

Great park and one of the best places to spend the 4 of July, walk around St. Augustine in the afternoon and watch the fireworks from the bridge of lions that night. So much to see and do.
