I have a leak on the roof of my pop-up that I can't find . I am thinking about using a ruberized paint useed for sealing metal roofs but the inside panel has been ruined. I was thinking about using a contact cement to bond melanine to the existing ceiling panels. Does anybody have any thoughts or better ideas about how to repair this?

You probably meant to and should have posted this in the Fix It section, as you would get more (and perhaps, better!) responses!
I think the rubberized sealant would work on the outside. I've used the rubber lap cement with success.
As far as the inside goes, I would worry about how much weight you might be adding! I think I'd remove the ruined panels and replace them with Melamine.

Briol and I just spent the last weekend doing a major overhaul on his 68 Starcraft.. Keep an eye out for the photos.. He has a million of them and left my home in CT this morning heading for Canada.. I am sure you can get some good ideas.. We stripped it down to the bare sides and metal skin, made some new custom frame work and framed for a roof vent & added a wood support for the door mounts during storage. We also ran 3 circuts of wiring to the roof for a fan, lights and 1/4" outlets.. Keep an eye out for the photos in a day or two..
