We had a blast at the rally ...... Karen made a few new friends, unfortunately lost one friend but all in all it was a success  I am glad we attended. We got to meet a lot more folks this time.

Thanks to Anthony and Tracy helping with setting up, I was going to forget so many steps and ruin the whole thing even before it started.

I started off with tripping on the water thingie and falling completely (backwards too) so I wasn't off to a good start anyways !

The first day was a very  long day for me, I think we selpt around 9 pm or 10 pm and slept in until 10 am next morning. Rain rain rain was all there was .....Good thing we were not sleeping on the ground and Finally kept us dry.

Days went by quickly, meeting people, having fun, or some of them not understanding my english and slowly moving away :) It wasn't fun when that happened .....

I packed everything the last day, but since we decided to attend the breakfast, and DD had a guest over for breakfast, we left around 10 am or so.

Fatal mistake : NEVER DRIVE ON I-95 !!! near NYC !!!! I went bananas !!!! We covered something like 40 miles in 3 hours !!!!!! Good thing we were dry and filled up ! I thought of all the things we could have been doing with FF-EMT, and cursed myself for choosing that route, it looked the shortest and I thought in middle of the day it would be an easy drive. HA ! To add insult to the injury, we paid like  a zillion dollars in tolls !!!

We arived sometime around 7 or 8 pm, I tried to go to a  hotel/motel but they would not hear it. When I saw the PU under a tree in their HUMONGOUS back yard, I gave in :) We stayed in their PU for four fabolous nights ! These people know how to make you feel at home !

I was thinking that we would call it a night, but Lee would not let it :) Home depot was half an hour away but was a pleasure to go to on the back of his JEEP !!! After returning we started ripping the roof of :) I believe the roof was on its back that night we nothing inside ! We slept sometime that night :)

Next day was cutting the panels, glueing them, cutting the hole for the fan, and mostly making a high quality job of it. I believe we had to make a trip to another hardware store that day for this and that. worked from 9 am till 11 pm or so ! Good work !!!!!!!Also finished the side panels and we put the new heavier roof down on its place.

I amanged to tear the canvas in two Places while just slightly tugging at it :( Andrea Fixed one of them, other one was in a very difficult place.

Next day was installing the fan, putting the canvas back on, fixing the light connections, fixing the door, installing the fresh water hose inlet and gray water outlet and so on and on. All was finished around 10 pm I believe, we had ice cream and yapped away for a while, then it was sleep time.

We woke up at 6 am with the birds singing and took off quickly and silently. We did not want to wake them up after all, they had a very full three days and deserved a good long sleep.

Half a mile into the trip the lights on the trailer started to flicker :( I had to pull into the Mc Donalds at exit 97 and tried to look at what was happening, of course ground problems once again ! Lee had worked so hard on it, I do not understand how ground was lost in such a short amount of time. I rigged ground into one of the runnign lights and all was well. I gotta check that ground problem !

Stayed at Pulkins at NY, and we drove the scenic road all the way to the border, what a treat it was for our eyes. We drove back to Syracuse to visit the carousel Mall :) Spent two hours there which was fun ...nice mall I would say

Finally definitely felt heavier on the way back home, maybe because we had some extra items with us on the way back :) panels also did add some weight without any doubt.

Crossing the border was a piece of cake :) so here I am at home fuming over the Camry's bill ......

Good grief.. You lost a ground again!! How the heck did that happen?? That dang trailer is grounded to the frame with 2 jumper wires on each end to the body!!

But Hey... Where are the photos??  :D

Glad you had a great time... I'm sure there was a lot of hard work put in by you and Lee, but in the long run, it will be worth it and remember it's YOURS!!!

I am glad that you have Finally in better working order.  Now all you need is a new canvas.
