We got camping reservations for Labor day weekend at S.D. KOA Metro.  Is anyone else going to be there that weekend..Its a great camping place for kids..  It is very pricey at $54.00 a night full hookups.  This will be the first camping trip in our redone popup.  We have completely redone the roof down to the wood...and redone the countertops, and some other stuff.  What a job this was but we are going to finsihing touches on next weekend.   We don't want to venture too far from home until we check everything out...If anyone will be there that weekend stop by and say HI!

I stayed there for two nights on July 23, 24.  It was absolutely terrible.  They cram way too many people in there.  I was given a spot right next to the basketball courts.  It was grand central station.  Not to mention the inconsiderate kids playing basketball from 6:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. at night.  The organized KOA pancake breakfast that was served less than 40 feet from my bunk on Sunday morning was rediculous!

I suppose if you get a secluded spot in the back of the campground it might be bearable.

Good Luck!

I think that OC Campers stayed here and had a nice time.  You might check with them. :)

Sue check out the campground forum under "west".  There is a thread about this campground.  We have been there twice and have enjoyed our stay both times.  I agree it can get busy but make sure you have a site in the back of the CG.  We stayed in the 1900 section back by the tent area and it was shaded with a grass area.
