There's a 16x16" spot, over the dinette, to put a tv. There's 2 problems with it. First, you can't get anything but a 13" tv to fit into the hole and second, it's about 12' away & with my eagle eyesight I can't see it clearly.

I decided I needed a bigger screen tv & searched around for one. Tried Samsung, Panasonic and a couple of others, but found the right one at Walmart. It's a Sanyo 15" lcd tv and is loaded with features including 3D surround sound, progressive scanning for DVD's and a digital readout that tells you what channel you're on and what's playing. The backlight can be changed from low to bright, sound bass & treble controlled, etc. The price? $397! And for that price you get a tv loaded with more features and a better picture than ones costing over $200 more. Weighs 12# with the stand.

Of course, it wouldn't fit into the 16x16" hole, so I bought a cantilever mount for it at Radio Shack. Allows me to push the tv into the hole for travel, or pull it out & tilt/rotate for perfect viewing.

With its small weight & size, it will be perfect for our popup too. Its light weight will allow it to be mounted to a spring loaded rod which we'll extend from the stovetop to the ceiling.

Also added a DVD/VCR combo just in case there's no tv signals around.

yeah, we can just sit around like zombies in front of the tube and pretend we are in a hotel or a KOA  :J

The tv comes in real handy for checking news & weather. And during inclement weather when sitting around outside in sideways rain IS NOT a fun thing to do, that tv can be very handy! Don't get me wrong here, I spend most of my time outside by the campfire...but I'm not about to give mine up either!

As for fitting them into the spaces provided, I'm curious if the designers of these trailers every actually tried this. In my TC there is a pantry with tv antenna connection, I can fit a tv up there as long as it's not over 19" in hight...I bought a really nice (but cheap) 20" flat screen with built-in DVD last year to place there, wouldn't ya know it...19 1/4" and wouldn't fit!!! Arrrggghhhh. So I'm still using the 13" for now....

One of my favorite my part time hobbies is moving furniture  around in our house frequently (at least that is what Billy claims) and I have been known to try moving stuff that would ALMOST, but NOT QUITE fit into the space I've decided on, so I have much sympathy for  you two guys.   Hmmm, they need to make  all the innards of our RV's TRULY expandable.

Wow! With a set up like that can I come camping with you?
