Hey all!

If anyone's interested, we have two more trips planned for 2004:

We'll be at North-South Lake SP in Haines Falls, NY on site 171 October 22-24.  andym86 will be on site 178, and I talked to DiW and she "will try / might be able to" come up for the weekend or at least visit for the day...

We also plan to camp at Pine Grove KOA in PA on November 19-23.  We didn't make reservations just yet, we are waiting for reports from local COTOC-ians as to how the CG made it through all the terrible storms we have been through lately...

If anyone is interested, post right here and we'll see if we can get together.

I figure we paid extra money for the furnace and second LP bottle on the camper, might as well camp when it's cold and get our money's worth.  You only live once!

Rick I was told that the major flooding was on the other side of the mountain from the campground, so they should be in OK shape.  Some of the sites may have flooded but must should have been untouched.  I think a call to the campground is in order. :)

MTNDAVE

I agree w/Tracy, a call to CG would be best.

BTW, Pine Grove area is getting another 3 - 5 inches of rain from Jeanne today.

HersheyGirl

Yes, we got over 4 and a half inches of rain today,:yikes: on top of the 9 inches we got with Ivan. Everything is flooded and I would not be suprised if the campground is too. I am thinking that if tomorrow is nice, maybe a ride in the beamer with the top down is in order. A trip to the campground would be nice. If not tomorrow, then some time later this week. We have an awful lot of streets closed due to flooding and sink holes. It is really a mess here. But, we are dry in the basement.:) I am so thankful for that.

DH just informed me that we have had over 5 1/2inches of rain today and it is not suppose to stop until tomorrow morning.:eyecrazy:

Hey Rick,

We love Pine Grove especially since Tracy shut down the whole campground sewer system with her rock. When we got there the following weekend after Tracy put her hex on everything nothing worked sewers and bathrooms where all out of commision...I heard they now have her picture posted in all KOA's banned for life  :yikes: LOL ~

We have already winterized, but Pine Grove needs to be on the radar scope for a early spring trip in 2005.

Adam you can camp with out dewinterizing the PU. :)   Why end your camping season so soon?

There is talk of a trip to Little Pine State Park on October 8th weekend too. :)

MTNDAVE

Rick,

Wish I could do N-S lake but I'm already booked for the cabin.  Flintlock season.

I would really like to go back to Pine Grove, if they are not wiped from flooding.  But I'm on-call that weekend.  That's a was off and things might change, sooooo........we will see.

FYI to Everyone,

We will be @ Little Pine State Park from 10/9/04 thru 10/12 and maybe 10/13 if weather is good.  Fall colors sre expected to be hitting by then and nice weather for hitting the Pa Grand Canyon Rails to Trails biking & hiking.

Tracy - what did you do with a rock??  I have never heard of you wrecking the sewers there...  Someone please fill me in!

For the Pine Grove trip - Looks like we're only gonna stay till Sunday night, either leave Sunday or early Monday.  Stephie's sis gave her an early Birthday/Christmas present (her b-day is Dec 31st) of a plane ticket to go visit her in Montana for Thanksgiving.  The flight leaves early, early Tuesday.  Looks like I'll be having turkey only with Sabrina.  LOL!

Rick if you want to know what happened with the rock, you will have to find out in person.  You are invited to join my family for Thanksgiving.  You can ask about the rock when we are eating dinner.  You can also stay over night here.  Now all of the problems are solved. :)
