Camping Coxes

Hi everyone.  Don't know if you recall, but in the discussion about the RV show I said that Paul was ready to buy a hybrid, the first we looked at, at the RV show and I had to gently lead him away lest he be throwing up all night from the stress of his impulse purchase.  I've been researching different hybrids via websites, and the search is down to two models.  Well.....................

We're not getting one for a long time, because I got a new car instead!  My Aerostar has been nickel and diming us, and I've been complaining/suggesting/begging for us to get a new car for about a year now.  So Friday the van really was running bad and Saturday morning the mechanic called and informed Paul it's time to stop CPR on it and declare it dead.  So Saturday night we went out and bought a Mazda 6.  I've driven a minivan for ten years, so this is a very different feeling.  Fortunately, my kids are getting older and I don't need all the room for a carseat and stroller.  Unfortunately, my kids are getting older and David thinks he's going to get to drive it when he gets his license.  It won't be the first time he's been wrong!  ;)

Aaahh... the 'ol switcheroo! :D You got me. I thought for sure you had bought one of the Aerolite Cubs!

Congrats on the new car!!!! When I got my New Bug almost 5 years (can you say paid off in February? :-() ) my step son thought he was going to get to drive it. No such luck, and of course, now that he's almost 19, he's too cool for it. I guess it a boys-and-trucks sort of thing. David will probably get there in the very near future too, and then your car will be safe too. ;)

Have fun with your new wheels!! Now that you're not driving a mini van anymore, this might just be the beginning of the end of your title as official soccer mom!

Congrats Trina on the new car.  I just love the new car smell.

Emily didn't play soccer this year, but I'm softball mom, but usually just taking my kid.  But today I'm toting the basketball team to an away game.  Oh, darn, another mom may have to drive too.  That's a switch!  Emily was concerned about driving the basketball team when we were looking at cars, and I informed her I don't have to be the school bus for lazy parents!!!!!

I've towed, but just to Camping World and American Sales for repairs or service.  I would probably be fine towing, but backing in and setting up might be a different story.  I can barely parallel park the car, much less back in the trailer.  No high school lot for me!  Our high school lot is up a steep driveway.  But we do have a huge, flat lot at Biola College. That's where Paul went to set the Prodigy and to practice backing in when we got the trailer.
