Well you were going to the RV show today, did you get a new one??? :D

copcarguy

Hey Tracy...

Well we went there to specifically see the Jayco JayFlight 19H. We absolutely fell in love with it. We WILL own this camper in the near future. I am searching for a deal. The "show special" was $13750. The dealer was super positive that I "would never find a cheaper price" and we should "put a deposit down right NOW"!! This of course put me and Stephie in "kiss our butt" mode. They were okay on the trade too... Anyway, I went home and "googled" Jayco 19H and found it at a dealer in NJ for $11375. (I love saving thousands and thousands of dollars with like 5 minutes of work!) I called them and they won't take a PU on trade until March '05 because "it will just sit on the lot unopened" all winter. That dealer was really nice and I will call them back in March, or if I find a deal in the meantime.... but that WILL be the next camper.

Rick, I'm shocked that you found a dealer in NJ to quote a low price, reason is there is only a few RV dealers in the whole state and with property taxes so high and wages very high dealers must recover these cost back through there margins, additionly these dealers are also Auto dealers Surf RV is also Surf Chevy. I have been told this is not the year to buy a trailer being most dealers in the tri-state are very fat and happy with there sell-out of large trailers and 5th wheels mostly sold to construction workers taking to Florida to make some fast cash. One Jersey dealer told me at a recent show Fleetwood has stopped normal production to produce trailers spec for FEMA.

BTW they are only two Jayco dealers in NJ one is a friend of mine, who I only can afford service from they http://www.kadcorv.co I don't belive he will help with a low price though ask for Kevin or Ken both are owners, they still have New 2003 Jayco units selling and I belive some New 2002 Crossroad 5th wheels waiting for a full msrp deal. Also if you have time check my dealer review for Campers of America on PUX in NJ dealer reviews it was a another classic low ball story.

Now if I was making a purchase it will only be from Tracy's dealer Rhones in PA this dealership scores across the board high marks, they also sell Jayco but I'm sure Tracy has plugged them already.

Tracy, If you talk to Guy Snyder tell him I was at my recent rv fall show giving his name out left and right several people took his info ffrom me, one dealer heard me talking about Rhones and RV Wholesalers and ask if I would talk a little lower or move away, being people here at these shows mostly don't know you can purchase trailers for less online or out of state, so I said I guess everyone in NJ was born at night.

Hey Adam!

The dealer at the show was Surf RV!  Small world huh??  The dealer I got the low price from online was White Horse RV Center in Williamstown, NJ.  I'll check out that link you had in your post.  Thanks!

PS - I didn't know Tracy's dealer sold Jayco's.  She didn't tell me that, and she always speaks very highly of them.  I'll check them out as well.

copcarguy

Adam - that link is not working...

tlhdoc

Rick they don't sell Jayco PUs, but they do sell Jayco trailers and hybrids. :)

Adam

Rick, I have attached a correct link below now for Kadco beware though they are small family operation and if you check there online inventory you will see they still have 02,03,04 new units left gee I wonder if they lowered there prices they would be able to sell them (LOL). But ask for Kevin or Ken both are owners and very nice guys, say hello for me if you speak with either.  Yes I thought about Whitehouse RV last night as I was boared out of my mind at a Rick Springfield concert with Lisa, nevertheless attached a link for Forest River / Surveyor 190T which was a trailer I was considering, I really think the 190T is  nice unit inside and out, I have added the forest river link below for you take a look. Btw this dealer Newfield qouted me $14,900 for this loaded 190T last spring but now $12,900 for the 04....only if I could yank it down the street with the Pilot, I have consider it being it's the same weight as the Niagara but I think the wind would have me and the Honda upside down on route 80 not a pretty site. Also I would have to find and pay for storage and around here RV storage runs $ 700.00 to $ 1000.00 dollars a year thats alot of camping trips in my mind or new pop-up money.

Yes Tracy,
I do have my sights back on the new Niagara....in 06 though and only from Rhones.

Hey Rick & Everyone!

Sorry about not being around for the last few months, but my new job is really keeping me hopping. I bought a new camper, a 2004 Jay Flight EXP 18 F back in August, and just bought a new tow vehicle last week.

Rick, White Horse is the dealer I use, and would recommend dealing with Heather... she was very good to Erika and I. If you wind up getting your new rig from there, feel free to crash at our place while executing the transaction.

My new (to me) TV is a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, black, with all the trimmings. Now comes the joy of adding hitch, brake controller, etc.

With the new job at the University, it won't be as easy to take time off, but I'm planning on being at North Lake in May.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

Hi Jazman it is good to hear from you.  I think you need to change your signature line to reflect the changes to your camping gear.  Looking forward to seeing you again in May. :)

jazman

Wie Geht es dir Andreas?

Es geht mir sehr gut.... and my German is running out at this point  ;)

I haven't been around here much because I changed jobs at Rowan University, I went from slow paced, straight 9-5 job in the College of Engineering, to working in Facilities Management running around with my hair on fire! But there is career growth in Facilities, and a small pay raise, so it seems mostly worth it. However, I need to go camping more than ever!

Erika and I are looking forward to camping with you and Helga again. Are you still towing with the Benz?
