Would like to post our pictures of Vail Lake.  Any hints, directions, favorite websites.  I have never created a website for pictures and would appriciate a "how to".  Any "rules" about posting?  Posting people other than your own familiy.....it that ok?

Thanks

Probably the easiest way and most common way to post pictures is to use the free service at www.webshots.com  It's fairly easy and intuitive to sign up and create your pages.  By default webshots will load itself into your startup folder and take over your screen saver, but by setting options, you can disable that.

Just go through the sign-up process and download the software to get started.

What has been accepted by the people in this group is that you can post pictures of others, but don't use the names of the children.  If you go to some of the past trips and look at the pictures, you'll get the general idea.

Good luck.

I'll be uploading mine this evening--once Dave hooks up my laptop to the cable modem.  I just can't wait 14 hours to load them on my dial-up connection! :compumad:

I started out with webshots and I liked it [still do]. Then I saw a friend's Internet album at Photo Site and I liked it even more. Photo Site is a bit harder to use but the downloads are much faster and I personally like their photo albums better than webshots. To see an example of each go to the sites below.

PopUpMomma,

Did you ever get the Halloween pics up on the net? Are the pictures from the Scampers trip? I went on the site an saw some pics from the Halloween rally and it looked like a blast. I was planning on attending this one in 05....

Just wondering.... Matt in San Diego/////// :D

Matt,
I never did get them posted, but the pictures on the web are about the same as what I have.  Be sure to watch the board and get your reservation in quick.  Last year was our first year with the group and the group was pretty big.  This group of people are as nice in person as they are on the board.  Very Very nice.  We had a great time and also will go again in '05.  Great place for kids.  Our kids are a bit older (15 & 18) than yours and pretty self contained...in fact, they take care of us now...(ha ha) but it was neat seeing the adults sitting in their chairs etc out front of their campsites so the kids could play in the drive.  The entire camping ground "dresses" up for halloween.  It really was a great weekend......worth attending!!
