Well I finally downloaded my som of my snow pictures and tacked them into an album.
Here in south Texas (Victoria, Tx) we haven't had snow since 1985, and since offical weather records started in 1889, there has never been a recorded white Christmas!!! Needless to say we were so excited to have this opportunity. I realize those of you who live in it all the time may hate the stuff, but when it is a rare event it is easier to enjoy. I teach middle school students and many of them have never ever seen snow. On Christmas eve, my whole neighborhood stood out in the white stuff just watching it fall. People were pleasant and cheerful and talking like never before. It made a great Christmas.
So this was the snow that started on Christmas eve,24th, and lasted until the 27th.

What a treat for you! I bet the kids will tell their kids about it. Looks like you had a few inches too.

I bet it was really special on Christmas eve, for all the neigbors to come out, and enjoy this together.

Thanks for the pictures.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that we had 12 inches!!!! It was very powdery and fluffy, wonderful fun.  It was hard to pack it together for a snowman, though I did save a snowball in my freezer.
Also did you know that someone farther south in the Rio Grande valley put a "rare Texas Snowball" on EBay and now they are popping up everywhere. Ha ha :p

Maybe I'll head on over there and bid ... might be the best snow we see all year here!

Sounds like a magical Christmas.  Lucky You.

Wow, you had quite a storm.  I remember snow when I was a kid in Dallas but never that far south.  What a special Christmas.  You will remember it always.

beautiful pictures! I know you must have been so excited to have the snow for a few days...especially on Christmas!   We were watching it on the news here in the DC area on Christmas Eve and I laughed and told DH there had to be some kid, some where in Texas that was now saying to his parent's...."SEE, I TOLD you I asked Santa for snow for Christmas!"   :D
