for my PU!  When we moved here in July I kept my PU at my BIL's Uncle's for 6 weeks.  I then moved it to the closest place to where we bought our house, it was almost 30 minutes away and cost $55/month.  I got put on a waiting list for a storage place about 10 minutes away in August and they finally called!  $6 cheaper too!  I will move 'er tomorrow, sure will be nice having it closer to home!

I know that many of you have HOA's like mine that won't allow RV storage and must make other arrangements.  How much are the rest of you folks paying?

We were lucky, when we lived in Orange County our townhome complex had  RV spaces that we were able to rent for $20.  Now we have it in our garage.  We are thinking of looking for an indoor storage place.  Still need to find out how much $$'s.

I wish my HOA had a lot to park RV's and Boats, seems like a great solution.  As much as we pay for dues it seems that they ought to have a space!

The HOA where we lived until November didn't allow trailers or campers either. WE paid $50 a month at a private storage lot for a tiny little space to park it in.  We had to do everything to it there...including packing and unpacking.

When I read this it makes me feel lucky. When I bought the house from Dad he insested that part of the deal was I put in hookups in the backyard so could set his 5ther up here the 2 months a year he liked the weather in this part of the country. I now have a gravel pad 12ft. wide (>1/2in. off level) & 18ft long (fall to drain to rear). On a small pole I have city water, 15amp duplex + 50amp 220v outlets and even phone. At the base of pole there is 4in sewer cleanout that I can uncap and run a snake completely under the house to the main across the street. All I lack is the easy clean area around my dump station. someday I want to build a gararge but until I do I have it a whole lot better than renting offsite.

Can we have a rally in your backyard?  All we need is a campfire.

We just park the PU in the driveway all year long.:)

We can, and do park the PU in the driveway during the summer and spring when packing, or working on it.  We keep the storage slot (ten minutes away) all year long for about $30 per month.

we have ours at the campgrounds, 30.00 a month storage

I have my Kiwi stored at a local private storage area.

Guy bought the place, a former lumber yard that had a few large buildings on it.

I pay $350 for indoor storage from Novemeber 1 to June 1.

It might be a bit high but I don't have to worry about snow load or a tree falling on it in the winter.  Not a lot of places I can park it in the yard without the danger of a tree falling on it.

I guess I just look at it as extra insurance.

On the other side of the coin, I don't have to look at it in the yard all winter and wish I was camping.

I live in a neighborhood with a HOA too.  What a pain.  The good thing is that there are a number of people who have violated the "rules" and nothing has been said or done about it.  I have my campers, I have 2 right now, up in my yard. (I really am trailer trash these days)  One is close to the driveway and the other in the way back yard.  I figure if anyone says anything to me, well then I will have to bring up the other folks who are in violation of the HOA rules.  So far, just a few crabby neighbors have talked amongst themselved about my DH's garden.  The president of the HOA just loves my DH and has told them to lay off of the complaining, DH can have his garden and the campers.  I am planning on selling my Jayco camper in the spring, so I will be back down to one camper.

I don't know about a rally, judging by the dreaded task thread the house might be firewood because the drive is 9 ft. wide.lol I do somtimes burn the down limbs out of yard in grill, grab the hotdogs when fire inspector shows up.

Our CC&Rs prohibit us from parking our camper at home, so we pay about $50/month and store our camper at a closed marine base near our home. The next camper we buy, we're putting my mom's name on title so that we can store it at her senior citizen community's RV storage center. It's ridiculously inexpensive--something like $150.00 per year!

PS Hey Jeff!  Congrats on the new home!!  I wish we would have been able to camp with you, Kathy and the kids a bit more before you moved, but we're glad to hear that life is good!
