Well, the DW and I took the plunge last night and bought a new TV. The Dodge was ok but that 6 cyl engine worked hard to pull the PU.  Now we have a Tundra with a V8.  I can't wait to pull the PU now.  Should be a huge difference.  Any other Tundra drivers out there let me know how they pull.
Iam still trying to get pics posted.

Congratulations on the new TV.:)

Yes congrats. I towed my popup with a Dodge Ram too but it had the 5.2L V8

Congrats on the new TV. Our Sequoia has pulled our PU over 30000 miles. We love our Toyota, we traded our '98 4-Runner for our Sequoia when we purchased our PU. You will definitely enjoy it. Enjoy.

congrats on the new truck.  you'll love it for towing the pu.  the nice thing about that truck is you get the V8 with plenty of power for what you'll be using it for and it won't suck as much gas as some of the bigger V8's.  I speak from experience, my Durango has the 5.9 and I average 12.5 mpg :eyecrazy:

Hey Maromeo, where were you about 8 months ago when we lived in Gilbert, Az. I could never find anyone on these boards that lived in my area.

I was here or camping. We also spent 3 weeks in California beach camping. We loved it. In only have 5 days reserved this June reserved. It is getting harder to book things now that my daughter is in school. We hope to go up to the white mountains more this summer, hopefully no more major fires.

We tried to get other campers together here in AZ  in 2002-2003. We had as many as 8 families together camping. It has dwindled down to only a few now. It is getting harder to get groups together with all the different schedules.

Did you buy your Viking at Antler's?
Mary Romeo

I did indeed buy it at Antlers.  We camped mostly up on the rim, in Sedona a couple of times.  We are looking forward to the Western Rally at Pismo. We haven't camped here in SoCal yet.  It sounds like it will be a good time and we will meet alot of cool people.

We bought ours in May of 2002 and have made 2 cross country trips towing. We love it. Our unit has the power lift system so no cranking, that was the selling point for DH. It is the same floor plan as the 2470ST.
Antlers really treated us well. We would get such a kick out of Mugs. He gave us some good ideas.

Keep us posted where you will be camping maybe we can meet up with the California group. In March we are  off to TX to visit my brother and see San Antonio. We will be camping during the whole week. I hope the weather is decent.

Keep in touch.

P.S. I am a MN transplant so visiting MN with the Viking, it felt right at home.

TheViking
