well today I can hardly move. I feel like I've been hit by a train... As some of you know the winds here were horrific and yesterday I woke up to Kevin screaming "MOM MOM Dad needs your help The Canopy is falling..and It's not April Fools"  Well In our Backyard we had put up one of those Canopy garages (apprx.12'x20') a couple of years ago. when we started doing all the major remodeling of the house. a great place to temporarily store stuff. and it made for a great place to set up the DJ for my Halloween Party. well it couldn't hold on any longer . one of the footings broke and all the stakes came out and as Dan & I are trying to undo all the bungees to get the vinyl off the frame..(I'm still cracking up here)  a huge gust comes thru and sends the Canopy tumbling across the yard and the fence stopped it on it's side (thank goodness) as I ran and grabbed it.. Dan comes Popping out of the top like a cake. He was still hanging on to it as it tumbled accross the yard. we finally got all the sides and top off but some was torn pretty bad. I'm just thankfull it didn't hit anyone's house and Dan was alright.. where's the video camera when ya need it"

HA HA!  LOL!!!  Too bad no one got a movie of this.  This would have been a show for Funniest Home Videos.

I didn't have near that kind of problem but, during one of the many windy days we have in Lancaster, I get a call from the DW(Kristi) that my 1 week old BBQ has rolled clear across the patio(32 Feet) off the edge and into the yard!  Now this BBQ is a Stainless Steel, 5 burner with a side burner, a full propane bottle, and 1 wheel locked. Some things will always be unexplained.

We had our own fun this past weekend while camping at Cuyamaca (Green Valley Falls campground). Jennifer (ZJENZ) and I both went. It was so windy that her trailer got pushed a couple of feet and a large branch fell out of the tree and tore a hole through her tent on the trailer. We also had to move sites and when I setup at the new site, I forgot to put down the stabilizers. Luckily, no one was in that bed and we had no problems.

Yikes!  It was breezy down where we were in San Clemente, but uneventful as far as the trip went.

Sorry to hear of the torn canvas, but glad to hear that no one got injured.

I want to share too!!! We went camping with dear friends in Julian March 18th weekend. The weather said it might be cold, it might drizzle too.

OH MY GOSH!!! First of all, when we arrived it began to SNOW!!!! Freezing, wet snow!! So we set up in this freezing wet snow. The problem was that I packed our heavy coats in the darn bags in the back of the truck!!! ARGH.

We survived and were set up. Then on Saturday the wind hit. It was pretty windy all day...but at NIGHT. Again...OH MY GOSH!!!...I kid you not, I exagerate none, not even a little...it was like trying to sleep in a crashing air plane! ALL night long, 65 mph winds. Randy and I layed there wondering if we were even safe in it.

We again, survived! No sleep whatsoever though. And we're really scared about popping the thing back up after all the shaking it went through. Hope it all pops up ok.

Hey, I almost forgot the most astonishing part...Kyle and Ryan SLEPT THROUGH the high winds! They slept all night long! I can't even believe that. It was so noisy, and the darn trailer was shaking so bad, nonstop. Those lucky, stressfree kids!

Gee, I'm glad we were in Michigan that week.  We had actual Spring weather there, which was amazing.  BTW, whenever Scott leaves the Harbor for vacation, the weather always seems to take a turn for the worse.  You might want to check his schedule to see if you should go camping!!! ;)

You know Dee, after actually meeting Dan, this story of yours is even funnier!
I can really visualize him sliding across the yard now...LMAO
