Is there anyone in here that has a newer Toyota Tundra or Sequoia that can tell me if it is pre-wired for a brake controller?  I bought a Prodigy last Saturday, raced home to put it on so I could take the PU for a little road trip to see how the new TV pulled it.   I had the wiring harness that Toyota left for me in the glove box, but nowhere to plug it in !   Help !!!

I am guessing that you have a Toyota plug with wires coming out of it.  You will have to connect the wires from the Toyota plug with the wires on the Prodigy plug, or you can buy a Toyota/Tekonsha wire harness that has the end for the controller and the end for your TV.  Your Toyota dealer may be able to help you find where you plug the harness in.  If Toyota left you a wiring harness, it should be wired.  With all of the Fords we have had, there was a paper with the harness that showed where the plug is located.:)

What do you consider newer?  I have an '03 and it is pre-wired.  Bought the wire kit for my prodigy.  Plugged it in.  WORKS GREAT.

My service advisor at Toyota told me when I took the truck in last Saturday (to have them show me where this plug is under the dash, which is not really under the dash) that the service connector for electric brakes has been made obsolete by Toyota.  That's the reason for all the questions. By newer, I just wondered if someone had a 03 or 04 that was or wasn't equipt with this connector.  I thought maybe since mine was a double cab maybe it was different. So, thanks for your input. I did find it buried under wires in the side panel down by the emergency brake.

I have a 04 tundra double cab. With the tow package you should get a short wiring harness (comes with instructions) that will plug into the back of a prodigy brake controler and into a empty plug behind the drivers side kick panel. Very easy install.
