I noticed in my water tank a possibility of mildew in the tank.It is a 16gal tank, would it be ok to add some bleach to the tank? And if so how much should I add?

If you add a cup to a quart, then put a few gallons in it, drive it around to slosh it around, and wash it out, that should do the trick.

What Larry said and.....

Rinse out and then use a solution of water and baking soda to remove any residual "bleach taste".

Don't forget to run the bleach and rinse stuff thru the pipes!

Mix 1/4 cup bleach in a gallon of water and pour it into the water tank.  Fill the tank the rest of the way and let it sit for a couple of hours.  Also pump bleach water through all of your water system, including a water heater if you have one.  Drain the tank, fill it with fresh water and pump it though the water system.  If there is a strong bleach smell you can rinse the water system with a cup of vinegar and water.  Flush the vinegar soluting after an hour or so too.  Too strong of a bleach solution is will not do a better job.  It will cause your plastic tank and lines to absorbe more bleach oder.:)
