Well this is the second weekend in a row that I lost out on pop-up purchase. This past thurs.a dealer called me with what seemed like a great deal on a Statcraft model with a cassett potti. He told me they would not even be opening it until Sat. because of the weather so not to bother coming in to view it until then.. Well 9:30 am on Sat. I get a call from the very same salesperson saying it was sold. To say the very least I was quite disapointed and wondered how does one sell a pop-up without popping it open??? So anyway I called another local RV place with a few used pop-ups and they also told me they would not be opening their pop-ups until better weather. Just who buys without seeing the inside?

How about a very foolish person or a very very desperate camper. Either way that is an awful big chance to take. That's like buying a car without a test drive!
Must have been a really good deal, huh?

I am guessing that if you went to the lot, they would open the PU up for you.  If you call they can say wait, but if you are there in person they will open them for you.  They could even pull a PU into a service bay so that they can open it inside.:)

Tentcamp

Our dealer usually has a couple in the showroom and will pull any inside the service area if you want to see. When we bought our popup they told us about a good deal on a last years model and if we wanted to see to come back the next day, we did, loved it and bought it.  They also have a used camper sale in January where they bring as many as they can fit inside.

I bought my van w/o test driving it...

I bought my 2003.5 Mesa w/o viewing it...

I bought my 2004 Cabana w/o viewing it...

Doing well so far.

Does that make you foolish or desperate?  ;)  :)  :D  :p

I can say that cuz I'm gonna buy a PU that I've only seen closed up.  I've seen pictures of the inside.  Does that count?  :D

LOL Kelly!   I bought my new to me Palomino with just seeing the floorplan in the broucher.  Oh well, it all worked out well. :-()

I saw pictures of the exterior the Mesa, interior and exterior pictures of the Cabana, and a newspaper add of the van, but the van was new, so how bad could it be :D

On the campers neither seller had any idea the features, I had to guess by the exterior pictures. The only thing I got wrong was that the Cabana has an AM/FM/CD I did not guess.

Kelly ~ Your Jayco will be great for you.

I bought my hybrid without seeing it.
I bought my furnace on Ebay without seeing it.
I bought my Dodge Ram Cummins on Ebay by looking at pictures.

Heck, I didn't even see my mail order bride before she arrived!!;)

I think so!!  We did get to check one out at the RV show last month.  DS is extra thrilled that nobody has to climb over him to get into bed any more!

Maybe I'll get a chance to haul it south and camp in the fine state of Texas ... but not in August!!  ;)
