Itryed instaling a electronic thermostat to day in the hi-bird,
no go. the fan would come on but the unit wouldn't fire(no heat)
put the old one on everything worked again.what gives?

Call the tech support for the thermo.  I did that and told them the specifics of my install and they were able to tell me what wires go to what lead.
