i'm new here and was just wondering if there were any camping groups in southern nc or northern sc? i just moved to kings mountain, nc with my wife, son and two dogs and we really dont know anyone up here. drop me a line.

There are two grops of Carolina campers that I am aware of:



Carolina Popup Campers - Yahoo Group

CarolinaCampers Chapter of the SouthEast Pop Up Campers

Now, don't limit yourself to the Caroilinas, you are only a hop skip and a jump from Georgia also.

Georgia Campers - Yahoo Group

Even being in Atlanta we sneek into NC on a regular basis.  So far we have found a bunch of great campgrounds that we intend to try out when they open up.

well thats just great..........down the road from my house (as you go down 161 from i85 i live just 1 mile south on 161) i will be in florida at my step daughters graduation. but if any of you are doing anything other than that weekend, let me know, the camper and all of us here are ready.

Welcome to the group Lenny! We're on the other side of this state. You live in a great part for camping and recreation! The Carolina Campers are heading to Kings Mountain State Park, SC but have a lot of other trips planned for the mountain areas. I'd love to try and make to one myself!

Welcome!  I am not in your area but intend to be in Georgia for a week or so this summer to visit the grandchildren.  We may be coming through your area one way or the other.  DH is still planning our route.
