Palomino lift arms

Has anyone replaced the springs in these manual outside lift arms. I believe my PU is from the 80's. I first lift the rear of the roof and then lock the arms in place with pins. The rear raises easily . The front is another story. I have to lift the entire weight and hold it up while pulling the arms into position to put the pin through. Anyone have instructions on this and know where I can get the parts to fix these arms. I've only found one vender on the internet and it looks like I would have to buy all four arms for $325. That is more than I paid for PU. Thanks

Yep, sorry to say that I have only seen them sold in complete sets also.... from Camper & Recreational, and the last time I checked they went for $ 300.00 for the set.
 They are the exact replacements, so once you take the old ones off the PU, you just need to install the new ones in the same locations I believe.

I called the factory and the springs are available brand new, ordered all four and now I will sandblast the arms , paint and install the new springs.
