We have owned our 1979 Apache Ramada since July 2000 and absolutely love it.  We cannot see ourselves camping in anything else, in 5 years or more, other than in our trusty Apache.

Just moved up to a hybrid last year, had the pop up for 5yrs. so don't see any changes in the next 5yrs.  Will stay with the hybrid :D

DW is upper 40's I'm low 50's and been tent camping for at least 40 years.  We're making the switch to a PUP because the bones just ain't what they used to be.  When it gets so bad that neither one of us can pop up we'll go to renting cabins. Anything more than a PUP you're RVing not camping. MHO

The DW and I plan on going on the road when we retire for a few months out of the year. Maybe do some campground hosting at some State and National parks. We've looked at Class C's, maybe a Chinook or a Born Free, with a Diesel.
I would hopefully tow along my Mini Cooper if I can keep it in good shape till then, but that's about 10 years from now. If my roof holds up I hope to keep our PU till then. We love ours and I really haven't seen anything I would change it for, it really is everything we need and best of all it's paid for. So if all goes welll we'll still be in our good'ole Casa Grande for at least 10 more years.

We love our Chalet, and will probably stick with it.

I say a travel trailer only because there is no adjustment needed when camping in bear country.  With the PU we have to live like we are tent camping, storing all smellables in the TV.  A TT allows you to keep everything in the trailer with you and not worry about the bears.

Since we just bought our TT,  I see no reason that we would change in the next five years.

At some point, we want to leave sunny California for a quieter, more peaceful place. (Looking forward to no more traffic!)  So I see us in a 5th wheel, not just to camp in, but to actually live in for awhile.  Until then I love our PU, no RV storage fees, fits in our garage, etc., and we'll be camping in that until then.  Dh did ask me though, if I thought I could live in the PU ... don't think I'd go that far!
