Trickle charge by solar power?

I was in an auto store last night and noticed that they were selling a solar panel designed to trickle charge a 12 volt battery. Had auto shut off etc. Advertising stated that it was great for RV's. Anyone tried one of these and for $75 are they worth it?

They will cover the draw from a propane detectror, but as for actually charging a trailer battery they aren't really capable of doing much at all.

Mike is right, those small trickle chargers are more for maintainance a charge and not recharging. Your $75 would be better spent on a 2nd battery.
