Saw this Bike Rack today: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?page=proframe&prod_id=685283 and it looks really interesting! Anybody ever seen/used one? Excellent price!

Not a fan of folding racks. Takes to much rigidity out of them. I've spent a lot of time with ropes and bungee cords trying to secure cheap racks from flopping around.

While it's more expensive I prefer the Swagman version http://www.swagmanbikeracks.com/store/64600.htm

Same type drawbar mount, but a much more rigid rack.

Same here. We just bought the towing Swagman, and love it. Spend the extra money for the Swagman. We bought a cheaper rack, and ended up with a Swagman anyway. Wish I knew this a couple of years ago.

I also have the Swagman and I love it.

We also have the Swagman and are very pleased with it. It is very secure as it slips onto the hitch receiver bar , so nothing is in contact withyour TV to mar the paint. It also folds down out of the way for when we need to get into the back of our SUV. You will need a longer hitch bar receiver though--a small price to pay for the solidity and secureness of the system.

The only drawback is that my 4 y/o son's bike doesn't fit on the rack since it has a non-standard, eliptically shaped top tube. When he outgrows this bike, the next one will be sure to have a standard round tube so that it can go on the rack instead of inside the TV!

Swagman makes a telescoping adapter rod that attaches to the handle bar neck and to the seat post. The rod is then clamped into the rack. It runs about $15 at local bike shops. I don't know if this will solve your problem but it worked for our DD's.

Does anyone know if this rack will work with a Reese weight distribution hitch w/ bars? My concern is extending the ball out farther than it already is?

How about the Swagman Roof Mount Bike rack (4 bikes)? Any comments on use with an aluminum roof on Palomino TXL hardwall PUP?

Thanks!
