I used to have a book that listed campgrounds in the US, state parks, national forests, private and it listed things they had like swimming, rec center etc and I have lost it and was wondering has anyone seen any for sale ? I thought it was like allstate, or rand mcnally but can't be sure.it was only about 1 1/2 inches to 2 inches thick. I just got a brand new  camper and am looking forward to going to new parks in the midwest.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Woodall's also publishes one, as do several other people. You might want to go down to your local huge box bookstore and sit down and read over several of these over a coffee mochalatta caramel, looking at campgrounds you might have been at to see how you like the format of each one and how they do in rating campgrounds in your judgment. Sometimes I wish I had both of the big ones, because there are simply way too many campgrounds for one to rate so alot of campgrounds go unrated.

Another thing is to use the regional review forums;  Asking there for a campground in a particular area will usually get some useful replies, and asking about a particular campground will sometimes get info from someone who's been there.  Finally, post a review once you get back.

rvparkreviews.com is a good one for reviews of some parks. I agree with Austin on all of us posting reviews too. I'd much rather get information from people like us who I know are going to tell it like it is!  :>
