When I get two propane tanks on the tongue, and stuff in the box, I get just a bit of sag, and if I am running for a long way and hit a hole or bad dip, I do feel the van bottom out on the suspension. The question is, "Which Hitch". I understand that the equalizer is suppose to be the best, but I have also been told that with only about 300lbs tongue weight, it might be too much hitch... Then there is the 350 mini from Reece, but I'd have to continue to use the sway bar with it, really would like to get rid of that.. I know this is alot of personal preference, but, lets here it guys, what's everyone using and how's it doing?? Thanks! Walt

We had an Astro van and we towed a Coleman Westlake with it. It had a lot of sag in the rear. We started out with the Reese mini 350 but found it too difficult to use. We then purchased the Reese mini 400 (single draw bar). We liked this hitch a lot. Much easier to use and worked with trailers up to 400 lbs of tongue weight. You still need a separate friction sway device. Both hitches will work with Coleman /Fleetwood popups. The Reese mini 350 has built in sway control but in my husbands opinion it isn't as good as the separate friction sway device and he believes the newer Colemans are already setup for the friction sway device. Also the Mini 400 is a lot easier to install.

If you are interested, we are selling our Mini 400. See the Classified section on PUT. We bought a new truck and don't need the WDH anymore.  Also if you have any questions regarding these hitches just e-mail us.
