Doing research on aquiring a used popup later this year or early next year. I will
be towing it with a Chrysler T&C. I can tow up to 1100lbs according to the owners
manual. We've been tent camping for many years but hoping to step up for the
sake of the wife and kids. Any suggestions on a lightweight model would be most
helpful.

I personally would be very hesitant to tow anything in the usual popup mode with a vehicle that only hauls 1100 pounds. Not many pop ups even come under that limit themselves and once you start adding propane, battery, luggage.... Not that it isn't being done--you see people out on the road all the time with the nose of the vehicle pointing up at the sky, dragging along a trailer.  I did it when I was young and foolish. I also blew up the engine of that new car. Two things to think hard about: 1) if you need any kind of extra umph or braking in case of any kind of emergency, you have no excess built in to call on to get you out of the emergency...you are already pushing the absolute limits. I refuse to put my loved ones in that situation. 2) you will likely tear the vehicle engine up in hidden ways that will come back to haunt you very quickly. My last vehicle had a hauling capacity of 3500 pounds; I haul an 8 foot camper that weights about 1500; with all the fixings, about 2500.  Three years after buying it new and with meticulous maintainence all the while I owned it, the vehicle was literally falling apart in ways that could only be suspected were directly related to towing. So you can buy a new vehicle now or later.... But now may be better than being stranded somewhere you don't want to be stranded later.
