No, we didn't buy a hybrid. But for the money we spent, we could have bought a decent popup.

Some of you know that Holly was diagnosed with arthritis when she was a young child. In our chosen profession (nursing), we are often subjected to using inappropriate body mechanics in lifting, and working on concrete/tile floors, often with little break.

Now, don't get me wrong...nursing is a great profession. But it can be hard on people with myalgias/arthralgias. So, on the recommendation of several people with similar problems (and at least one doctor), we bought a hot tub/spa. I am taking two vacation days to build the deck, and I am going to need some spa time when I am finished! Whew! However, it probably won't be delivered for at least a couple of weeks. It is being custom-made in Smyrna, TN (All-American made, including parts/motors).

We are excited. I am hoping it will help Holly get through some of the rough days.

We also feel a little guilty about spending this kind of money, when we could be sending a good chunk of it south to New Orleans. However, this decision has been a year in the making, and just happened to be finalized in the middle of a disaster. Holly has a lot of working years left too, so we gotta take care of ourselves! Despite this kind of money spent, we will be making donations to Relief efforts. (There...I'm through making myself feel better.)

I have a hot tub/spa and just love it and so do the kids.  It was a God send when DH was having so much trouble with his back, this was one of the only things that would give him relief.  When I am sore from over working etc, I jump in the spa and it is just heaven.  This was some of the best money that I ever spent.  Hydrotherapy is the best.  I know you will love this spa for many years to come.  Enjoy!
