As I'm sure many of you have done we have made up a check list to make sure we have everything with us. On our last trip we found we needed to add two things.....................................
1. Key - Now this has never been a problem before becasue most people leave their keys on their keychain but for some reason my hubby decided that when he took the car for it's last oil change he needed to take the camper key off the ring. Luckily, after some trial and error I found a pair of scissors in our medical kit that did the trick of getting the lock open.
2. Bucket - Well, we have always had a bucket for waste water but..... hubby went out to empty the bucket and came tearing back in the camper throwing open doors and pulling up cushions trying to figure out where all the water had went because it wasn't in the bucket. I went out and found a hole in the bucket. Our 9yo had a good time with "There's a hole in the bucket dear daddy, dear daddy,,,,,,,,,," :D
New bucket purchased
Key on list.

About the Key thing.
When we bought our PU the dealer told us that if we ever loose or forget our key at home.....   Just borrow the neighbors.  He said all the keys for all campers are the same.  At least for PU.  I have tested his theory and it has worked every time.  So next time just go to the nearest campsite with a trailer and ask to borrow their key!  :p

Oh believe me that was my idea but no neighbors were at their sites around us and hubby was bound and determined we didn't need to borrow a key.

There are two keys that open all of the Coleman/Fleetwood trailers.  The older Coleman trailers us the one key and the newer Coleman/Fleetwood trailers use the other key.  I don't remember what year the key changed...sorry.:)

IIRC 91 and older use one key and 92 and newer use another. My old truck cap key opens both and most Rockwood/Flagstaffs as well.

We leave tomorrow and have two sites to accomodate my 17yo daughters 5 friends who are coming along. My husband had one of the friends witness him putting the key on the ring. My 9yo I'm sur will ask to make sure we have the key at least 100 times before we leave the house tomorrow afternoon.
