Stepper door broken

I have a Coleman Cheyenne. On my last trip out, when I went to close the stepper door, one of the tabs that hold the door closed slipped into the step and dissappeared. I drove home with only one tab and a ratchet strap holding the door closed. I dont see any clean way of opening the door other than drilling out the rivits. has this happened to anyone else? I would really like to avoid going to the dealership for repairs.

Yes you need to drill out the rivets.  It happened to my door 2 years ago.  I had the dealer do it, but others here on the board have done it themselves.
