I have a viking 2480st, no hot water heater, no cassette potti, no outdoor shower, just an electric faucet inside.  This was my first year owning the camper, and it wasnt hooked up with the city water line.  So, I ran the water pump dry, Is this good enough?  or should I run the RV antifreeze through the pump?

If I do have to run the antifreeze, my water line has filter installed, do i need to bypass it?

Thanks!!

I think you need to remove the filter for the winter.  Many filter cartridges need to be replaced yearly.  To be safe pump antifreeze through the water line.  If there is any water in the faucet or the line it can cause problems over the winter.:)

Toss the water filter. It need replacing at a minimum yearly and anti freeze ruins them.
Trust me as little as a single drop of water can freeze and damage the plastic RV faucets. Not to mention the pump doesn't dry out the lines it just stops pumping when the inlet doesn't get any more water so your lines are still full. Use the antifreeze.
