I don't know how many of you follow this show, It is my favorite reality show.  For those who don't, it's a 13 leg race around the world, they get clues to places they have to go, they have challenges along the way, etc.  The winner gets $1,000,000.00.  This season is a first with all families of four racing. Now on to my point.....Whoever finishes a leg of the race in first wins a special prize like trips, fuel for life at ARCO/BP stations, etc.  But last night threw me for a loop, the winners of last nights leg was a 4 sister team (AKA Desperate Housewives) that each won a 2006 Jayco JayFlight 27BH Travel Trailer. I can't remember ever seeing anyone win anykind of camping trailer on game shows, reality shows, etc.  It kinda shows you one way or another the popularity of RVing these days.

I watch it also and that shocked me too.

What I would like to do is strangle that smart mouth son of the family from New York/Boston (I think, can't remember).  They way the one son talks down to his mother really upsets me.  I would also like to tall that Father that he needs to step up to the plate and tell those kids not to talk to their mother that way.  It is very degrading to her.  I would probably haul off and slap that oldest son across the mouth!!!  You really get the different personalities on that show.  I'm sure they do that on purpose, to make it more interesting.

You have to admit, they gave the show some punch.  And like they said, that is just the way they are.  I had a friend in high school that was from NY and his family was the same way.  I love the dad, he line was always Son of a $%#@&!   I laughed my butt off!

Amazing Race update:

Last night the four teams left in the race were pulling the Jayco 27BH TT's. One team (Known as Desperate Housewives) overshot a turn-off and had to back the TT up because there was no room to turn it around. Talk about television worth watching! I was laughing my butt off! Finally they flagged some guy down and had him back it up for them. Tune in next week and see for yourself.

Yes, we watched it also and laughed our ____ off also!:)   My husband, Sal, said he would like to know if the production team parks and sets up the trailers for them or if they are learning to do it themselves; they never show it.   It was so funny watching the lady from the Desperate Housewives trying to back that trailer up with the 3 others trying to tell her what to do.   :yikes:  I bet she was so confused!  It was hilarious.  :D

We were disappointed that they didn't have a winner last night and we have to wait until next week because it was "continued".

It's a good way to see different parts of the world.  He have been to Yellestone and could relate to were they were.   Good fun.

Hey Brian,
that must have been amazing to see your exact brand and model of trailer being driven around on television.
Watching the desperate housewives trying to back up the trailer was a hoot, out in the middle of nowhere, with all the yelling and hollering, turn... no, turn the other way....
It looked like the sites where they camped were pull through sites, otherwise we would have had more fun at the campground!!

Imagine all the stuff they didn't air on TV. I'll bet that could be a show in itself!

RVMOMNDAD

I've missed a couple of shows and did not see them win the camper but saw them with them the week before....or maybe I fell asleep during the give away show.  I did miss seeing what turned everyone against the Florida family.  Was it somthing they did, or did they just get singled out as the "lets everyone go agaiinst" family?

TheViking

It seems like alot of people don't like the Florida family.  They are a bit weird, however, they have endured the whole trip with basically No help from any other team and still managed to make it to the top three.  They may not win, but they have me in their corner.

Calstate361

I don't think there was one incident were the other teams went against the Florida Family.  I think if it because the Mom is always praying to the Lord for help, etc. and then turns around and flaunts their accomplishments or winning in the other team's face.   The rest of the family goes right along with Mom so they all end up doing it.  They have made some not so nice comments to the other teams, so I think it is just a general dislike for their attitued.  Although they don't do it, if seems like they are giving the rest of the teams the "Flying Finger of Fate".

Just my guess why the other teams don't like them.

You have to remember, she had 3 female team mates of hers all yelling instructions.  You would probably crack and back the trailer into a pole or something.   LOL

Calstate361

WOW, the Lentz Family won!!!   That's the family with 3 brothers and 1 sister.  The second place family had 4 sisters and 1 dad.   The two first families were not real friendly with the 3rd place family (mom, 2 daughters and 1 son; called the Florida bunch) and they didn't show much about them at the end.   They really make the teams go through a lot of stuff.   I wouldn't have done very well with that puzzle map of the US and Canada.   Good entertainment!!
