You don't indicate the make/model of unit, but replacement canvas is available from two different companies:

Canvas Replacements

Bear Creek Canvas

I have heard positive reports about both companies.  If you are handy with tools you should be able to handle the project with a helper to move the large pieces of tenting around.  I think the entire replacementment for most pop ups is around $700

When thinking about a generator you need to figure the amount of electricity you plan on using and purchae one with sufficient size.  The downside to this is that most generators large enough to power the devices you are thinking about are too large to carry, plus they make a lot of noise.  The small/compact generators that are advertised as low noise are VERY expensive.

Things like this are always a trade off, many of us have decided to change our lifestyle when dry camping so that electricity other than the batteries is not needed.

Tim post the two best known canvas replacement companies.  As far as a generator, to get a quiet one you are looking at about $1000 for a Honda 2000 watt generator.  Do you plan on camping at public (city, county, state or federal campgrounds) or in private campgrounds?  Most private and many public campgrounds have some hookups, just electric, all the way up to full hookups (water/electric/sewer/cable).  If you camp where there are hookups you don't have to worry about a generator.  Many of us "dry camp" and only need 12 volt power from a battery, and propane for cooking, heating, a 3 way refrigerator and hot water, if your camper has those appliances. :)

Hello,
I have personally done business with Canvas Replacements and would give them a good recomendation. They also have a winter special going on and you can get a rebate if your sale is over a certain dollar amount. Canvas Replacements went out of thier way for me when I thought mine didn't fit since putting on a tent canvas was new to me, it can be tricky mine was a king end lots of  :yikes: material. They were very helpful with directions and walked me through on the phone. Keep in mind you may not need to replace the whole canvas on your PU. They come in sections, bunk ends, road side and door side. If you don't really need the whole canvas save some money or do a section a season.
It will be worth it when your dry and relaxing listening to the rain. Good luck. :p
