1987 Jayco Jaydove 8 lift cable broke

I was cranking up my popup and something snapped.  The back supports dropped.  I'm guessing my lift cable broke inside.  I'd like to take it apart and see if I can fix it.  Does anyone have directions or diagrams that would help me out?

Sounds like your Jayco is a smaller 8' box popup and quite often for those smaller units (but not ALWAYS!) they use a Goshen lift. Least that's what I have on my 8' Starcraft ... and the link for Goshen would be ...
