We bought a 2000 Coleman Utah about a month ago and was wandering what the best time is to have it de-winterized. We live in northeast Ohio. I don't want to have it done too early. Thanks!

Before you need to use it.  Seriously.  Our first camping trip of the season will begin on Easter Sunday.  We'll be going to Washington, DC.  I'll probably dewinterize on Saturday before Easter to avoid a possibility of freezing something before we go.  Most likely, I'll winterize the water lines again once we return, then clean it all out again before our next trip Memorial Day weekend.  Once we get to Memorial Day, we should be good for the season.

Your dewinterizing schedule will depend on your camping schedule.

And on the hard frost schedule in your area.

Here in central PA I usually de-winterize the trailer in early April.  We camped in February, but didn't use our water system.  Our next trip is April 12 or 13th and I will de-winterize and sanitize the water system a day or two before the trip.  IF the water will be below freezing when we leave, I will de-winterize, sanitize and then leave the camper set up with heat in it the night before we leave.  If need be I will blow compressed air through the water lines to clear them of water.:)
