When would be the best time of year to sell a pop-up?  I figured about now, leading into Spring and Summer.

I have a 2005 Fleetwood Resolute with A/C and hot water and external shower, used 3 times in mint condition and asking $1300 less than what i paid - and $700 less than book value.

Not a single nibble!  HELP!!!

Be careful with the book value guesstimate. If you Resolute comes with items such as stabilizers, water heater, external shower or other things that are standard equipment for that model, you cannot add them in when you use the NADA website. The base price at the NADA site already includes all standard equipment. Many times people will add in something like a slide when that model comes with a slide as a standard item. That is like doubling up on the value if you treat standard items as options.

I sold my popup on here after about 90 days and it sold in December.

This is a very nice model (if I say so myself) hard to sell PU during the winter, but like you say with spring and summer coming you have a lot better chance.
have you listed it on RV TRADER I used this site for finding my PU.

I guarantee you that there are lots of people out there that want to buy what you have to sell.......SO....there are only 2 things that you could be doing wrong.

Selling any item takes the following:
1. An item to sell.
2. A market with willing buyers of that item.
3. A means for the seller & buyer to communicate.
4. An agreement on a price for the item.

It sounds to me like you have #1 & 2 covered. Now, you must be missing something in #3 and/or 4.

#3 you could try advertising in a broader market. Exhaust every avenue of free advertising that you can. There are lots of places to advertise. Don't limit where you advertise. Some guy in Texas may be quite willing to drive to GA to buy the right PU.

#4 If you are reaching people, you need to take a real hard look at your price.

Also remember, your PU (theoretically) depreciates every day. If you are serious about selling.......do it TODAY......Don't get stubborn on your price (especially if #3 isn't working)because tomorrow you may have to lower your price more.

Looks like they have Craigslist.com in your area. Here's some of your competition:

Did you try posting it on Craigslist?  It's free!

That's where we found ours!

Thanks for all the input.

I put it on Craigslist.com about a week ago - just posted it in another section as well.

We'll see!

We sold our 03 Santa Fe in Nov. on RV Buys and sold it within a week.  You pay one fee and it's listed both on-line and in their magazine.  If you don't sell in the 1st month, then you can re-list at no charge.  The price is until it sells.

I see people suggesting places to sell it, but you asked when the best time to sell it was. That time is right now! It's tax time, people are getting tax refunds and looking for things to spend it on. It's also spring time, and anyone worth a grain of salt is thinking about this years camping trips...
