We're finally in the right month!  I'm ready.

7 DAYS!!!

Opened up the camper today.  It wintered well.  Lubed the lift pulleys and bunk tracks.  Starting to work on a shelf to cover over our drawer units, a la wavery.  It'll be 14" wide and 5' long, covering over 3 10"x16" drawer units.  It's the same size as the shelf underneath and will give us a more convenient height to work from.  I'll be putting on 4 "legs" that will be on hinges so the whole thing will fold up and take up very little space while traveling.  Thanks to wavery for the idea!

4 Days until we go camping.  I was hoping to leave on Wednesday, but we have to wait until Thursday morning.  We will get to Assateague Island in the early afternoon.  I stocked the camper today, changed the oil and did the spring service for the generator, and cleaned out the TV.  I need to wait until tomorrow to de-winterize and sanitize the water system.  It is going to go down into the mid 20's tonight and I don't want to take a chance and have the pump or faucet freeze.:yikes:

Well, I'm headin' outa here today myself ...

Trout have been calling my name out in the middle of the night all this month and so I thought I'd better head up to the mountains and pay them a visit. In case you might see me wandering around the Nantahala Nat'l Forest in western NC,  please let me know where the trout are all gathering this spring.

Have you ever tried pan fried brook trout for breakfast in the morning ...? See y'all in a week.
