Looking to get new to us PU. We are looking a few different models..from year 99 thru 2001:

1999 JAYCO Laurel Series Tent Camper
2001 VIKING Legend
1999 COLEMAN SUN VALLEY
1999 JAYCO MANISTEE
1999 COLEMAN 12' - NEVADA
1999 FLEETWOOD NIAGRA - COLEMAN

Question is can AC be added to an older PU? Assuming it is in good condition? And if so do we need to add breaker to converter/fuse box?

Many thanks..so anxious to get new PU

Although I can be sure, I would assume that all of those trailers would be pre-wired for an A/C unit as that is a very popular option. If you look inside the PU and see an outlet that looks like THIS then it's pre-wired.  That is a 20 amp recepticle and what you would need to plug in the A/C. You would of course have to cut a hole in the roof, but many others have done it themselves with the same success as if it were factory installed.  Still others have added A/C units to the floor and even the windows, but those are custom MODs and would require a lot more planning and work on your part.

hope this helps
