Hi all, being a guy i have trouble picking out gifts for my mom and  my wife!! I never know what to buy! Any suggestion would be helpful and I'm sure other guys on this site could probably use some ideas also.
Thanks........Ed :sombraro:

Does she have any hobbies?  Is there anything that she's mentioned she's wanted?  Does she enjoy camping?  If so, is there something that would make life a little easier for her when you're camping?  Maybe if we have more info, we can be more helpful...

She's not an outdoors type person, she seems to have everything. Her hobby is sewing and cooking. She has every kitchen gadget. She never gives me any ideas........Ed

As I am a mom, my favorite gifts are not material things.  I love getting breakfast in bed, the dishes done, my car washed and other things like that.  Of course if a spa treatment or a diamond ring appeared, I wouldn't reject it.:D

I'm a sewer too, well, actually a quilter, and a cook as well.  I always enjoy a gift certificate to the local Joann's or quilting fabric shop.

Would she like to learn a new craft, like maybe how to knit?  How about a gift certificate and lessons at a local yarn shop?

Do you like creme brulee?  If so, I bet she doesn't have a kitchen blow torch.  They're totally cool and an absolute necessity for making the crunchy top on a brulee.  You can get them at Williams Sonoma for about $40-50.

Or what about a dutch oven for cooking when camping?  Moose has made us all converts to DO cooking.  The stuff that man and his wife can turn out of a black pot....mmmmmm. :D

Hope that helps a little bit! :)

I know many Mom's don't want material gifts, but last year I got Paula a Kitchen Aid immersion blender. WOW does she like that. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in a local store so had to order it online and include a picture of it in the card. She uses it too. Our yougest son got one as a wedding present and they use it also. Great for quick shakes or blending & pureeing.

Does your wife or mother like motorcycles? May I suggest a Harley, Ducati, or BMW, motorcycle.

I plan on getting my mom a black Harley for Mother's Day. You can't spend too much on dear old mom.

Oh that's hilarious. An absolute riot. A real knee-slapper.

She told me that for Mother's Day, she just wants her daughter-in-law and grandson to be happy.

Do the right thing, Dave, and you can sleep with both eyes closed.

Thanks for all the good ideas everyone!! I dont think she would like a motorcycle though :J

Amazon.com gift certificates are great too! You have the regular books, music, videos..or any of the zillion other things Amazon sells!   I'm a voracious reader so that's always a good gift for me!
