My bike rack mod

Well, my first mod, except for the door-holder-open-thing is done!  :! I was going to build one of those rooftop PVC racks but then saw this rack at an RV dealers tent/yard sale where they were selling used stuff and overstock.The used rack was sitting on the ground in a pile. Got everything except the bottom part on the mount (called TK's by Thule) for $100.00! The TK's were $40 for the 4 of them.
The flat stock is 2" wide aluminumn from Home Depot and all the bolts, nuts and washers are 1/4" stainless from a hardware store. Used plenty of silicon in bolt holes, under alum and under feet.
Drove about 120 miles round trip to and from it's maiden voyage camping trip with one rainstorm and everything is dry and secure.  :#
