Don't know how some of you others are weathering this out but we have received over 8 inches of rain in the past 48 hours.

Took a ride around town and we have several roads closed and damaged due to the flooding.

Some of the houses near what is usual a slow running brook are getting flooded since it is now a raging river.

Just happy that I live atop a high hill.

This is the worst that I have ever seen it in the 30 years we have lived here.

Just glad this isn't snow.

Well Gene we have had some rain, but not enough here.  We are below normal in my area.  Sorry to hear that your neighbors are having a bad time.:(

From the sounds of it you still have plenty of rain coming... get those kayaks ready Gene! ;)

We've been getting rain since Thursday off and on (but not 8 inches)...still raining (they say thru Tuesday), we did have a pretty good mud hole or 2 going on our campsite and 4 very muddy dogs & 7 semi wet Adults playing around. But still had a  roaring fire and a blast rain and all.

Miller Tyme

Hope you're all okay there.

It's been raining here since Tuesday, and the forecast is for showers most of this week. Nothing very heavy, but steady light rain. Wednesday we had winds in excess of 40 mph, lots of tree limbs down, but few power outages.

Good thing I installed my new vent in the Pal last Monday......:D

I wish ya'll could send some of that rain down here...We have received less than half of our annual rainfall this year and it is getting awful dry around here....

All I can say is with the extreme cold of a few years ago, and the extreme snow of last year (or the year before?) and now the extreme rain, I'm glad we got out when we did.

Go west young man.

Looks like this rain is starting to break a bit.

I figure we now have received over 10 inches of rain.

All of the schools in a good part of the state have been closed at least for today.

We experienced a little water in the cellar, par for the course, and we had a leak in the bedroom ceiling.  Not a big deal since we had this problem when we got back from our trip last year and are planning on a new roof this summer.  Contractor has been secured but now he has to find the time to do it.

Rivers and streams are supposed to crest sometime today so we will have to see how much more damage is done.

Just heard from a friend and their gravel driveway is a complete washout.  Long steep drive.  They were just able to get out with their 4 x 4's.

Governors of Maine, NH and Mass have declared state of emergency.

I work for the telephone company in Massachussetts.. we are getting ready to call a state of emergency for us.  Lots of flooded manholes. alot of rivers are hitting flood level as well.  Rain has been nonstop all weekend.. raining sideways etc.. my dogs won't even go outside
I love to kayak so I hope the levels stay high and as long as it's 90 degrees on memorial day I'm sure to have a good time.. plus have a pocket of money from all the overtime I'll be putting in

Gene I hope you get the new roof soon.  Does any one know how Charlie is making out in Maine?

"Here's some sunshine from SoCal"

Thanks Wavery, I needed that.

According to my rain gauge, we have had over 12 inches of rain and it is still raining.  Supposed to get another .5 to 2 inches today.

Two dams have been breached, 600 roads are closed, lots of forced evacuations and many schools still closed in the state.

St. Pauls school was forced to close for the rest of the school year.  They are not sure what they are going to do about final exams and graduation.  They lost their heating and sewage.  They seemed to have handled the situation very well.  All of the students were evacuated.

Merrimack River is 7 to 8 feet above flood stage and they think it may crest higher.

This is just NH.  Mass is also pretty hard hit and some areas of Maine.

Guess the sun screen lotion will last me a bit longer this year.

Manchesterjim

Here in Manchester (and surrounding areas) things were bad over the weekend and Monday but are slowing down now (Tuesday).  We, like a lot of people, had flooding in our yards, and homes.....Ironically our campsite was in great shape!  (We had to take a break and go out there).  (But then, from the pictures we've seen....we were the lucky ones.
