Hi All, well we got back around 1:00 this afternoon from Terribles RV Park, we only went for an overnighter, but it was fun and relaxing. This park is so nice and clean you have to see it to believe it, so it's now part of my Webshots page. The drive from Vegas to the Park is only 60 miles, it took about 1 1/2 hrs. The weather was so nice, 90* during the day and 60* at night, and there was a nice breeze all day. When you first get there and register they give you a coupon book with 2 for 1's for the coffee shop and the buffet, along with coupons for the casino, very cool!! The RV park is a few miles off the main road so its very quiet, and the casino is just a small one, but very nice.
We got a site right by the park so the kids could play. Setting up camp took a little longer than usual, because i set up the awning for the first time. No problems though, this trip was flawless, we were glad about that. Once we got set up we had alot of visitors, ducks, I thought the dog would chase them, but he just sat and watched them. The ducks ate from Cinderella's bowl and drank her water and she just watched, i got a great pic of this. She was so good. I took her for several walks around the lake, they have a nice cement walkway that goes all the way around the lake. There are benches and rocks you can sit on and just enjoy the view around the lake also. You can fish without a license, but its catch and release. We took the girls around the lake on the paddle boats, we saw alot of baby ducks and other types of cool looking birds. The paddle boats and kayaks are FREE if your staying at the park, they aslo supply Life Jackets for the adults and children Free also. The Pool was slightly heated, but nice, we took the girls for about an hour. They did'nt want to swim at the beach. By the time we left the pool it was about 5:30 so we went back to camp and i fired up my BabyQ for the first time, i cooked some marinated Tenderloin steaks and campfire potatoes, its nice being a Chef. After dinner the kids played at the park some more and mommy and daddy got to relax. I never got to start up th AC unit, the breeze made it so nice i didn't need to, Next trip. I decieded to take a late shower and i have to say the bathrooms are nice, they have AC and heat. The shower was huge and it had a removable shower massage water head. The laundry rooms were just as clean, 4 washers and dryer to each laundry room. The grounds are so well kept, alot of trees and green grass, i would reccomend this place to anyone. The site we had was 50 x 10 feet.  We didn't want to leave, but we have to work tommorrow. All good things must come to an end..........Ed  :sombraro:

Nice pics.  The park looks terrific, almost brand new.  Lots to do, kids look happy.  Sounds like a great trip.  Glad you had a good time!

A trip worth bragging about. Thanks for the pics. Wish I lived closer to that resort.

Nice pics of your trip...I enjoy learning from all of you experienced campers.

We just bought our first pop up after a couple of years of tent camping, it is also a Jayco 1207 like yours.

We have gone camping twice in it so far this year and things have gone flawlessly (except for one of our sons getting badly stomach sick the first trip, so we had to leave early). I like the 1207, it is easy to set up and has a fair amount of room, although the awning was a pain the first time.  It tows easily with our minivan, which is a bonus, since the wife won't let me buy a pick up.

I have already modified our new pop up, I installed a car stereo and two speakers into the base of bench seats...I bring my Sirius receiver along, toss the antenna on the roof of the pp up and enjoy music or talk radio.

Hi Packerfan1, are you living in Wisconsin, my wife and I are from Racine, now living here in Vegas. Were just learning too, this is only our second trip. One of the biggest things I've learned so far is not to take so much stuff. Our first trip we had 3 time the stuff we needed and the PU was a mess, everything was put on the beds and at night we put the stuff all over. This last trip was much nicer we only took what we needed, no clutter. We love our 1207 PU, i ordered it without the dinning table in the U shaped dinning area, we like the open area, especially having 2 small kids......Happy Camping.........Ed  :sombraro:

Nice pics. Beautiful CG.

That dog is going to be one great pet. I think that picture of him watching the ducks eat from his bowl says it all :p .

I actually live in South Bend, IN...how I became a Packer fan is a long story for another day...I have neer lived nor have any family living in Wisconsin.

And yes, I am learning as I go what to take and what to leave (mostly what to take, we are a forgetful bunch in our household).  Plenty of lists being made each time.

We have the dining table in the U area...it pops out of the floor easily for normal sitting and relaxing.   We needed the extra table, we have 3 boys ( 17, 13 and 9) and they need a lot of room for eating, games and such.

Hey Ed - what nice pics you have! They should call it "Wonderfuls RV Park"... and so clean! Not that I have anything to compare it to. 90 degrees day is a bit hot, but 60 at night is perfect sleeping weather!
Casino: blackjack? roulette? slots? Poker? Do you play???
Set up awning for 1st time: Did anyone in your family accidently "hang" themselves? I kept forgetting where the ropes were when we set up and I walked into the ropes several times, looked like an idiot and everyone laughed at me!
The ducks and Cinderella: how cute is that? What a good girl you have. She shared her food and water with the park critters!
Your human girls are adorable - especially the sleeping picture.
BabyQ grill: I love hearing about new cooking grills. Please tell me more...
Professional chef? or Wannabe chef?
Mommy & Daddy relaxation - the bottom line!
Removable shower massage: What's the address... I'm going!!!!!

Great pics and so happy you had a great time. PM me on the grill when you have a chance.
Cheers!

When I first read your post and you said the site was only 10 foot wide I thought, YIKES, you couldn't even put your awning out.:yikes:  After looking at your pictures I see that the paved section (camping pad) of the site is 10 foot wide.  There is room for the awning.  It sounds like your family had a good time and that you enjoyed yourselves.:)

We're headed back to Terribles on the 24th of May for another overnighter. This time the dog is staying behind with my inlaws.....
