We love to go camping in June.

We camp year round but June is, by far, the best IMO. The weather is perfect. We have 3 camp-outs planned for June. Oceanside, Ca, - Moro Bay, Ca and Yosemite National Park.

This is going to be a great camping year for us :D . We've already had 6 camp-outs in 2006 and have 12 more planned.

I guess it's time to pack those wheel bearings and check the brakes before heading off to Yosemite :D .

Any month that I CAN camp is my favorite.  LOL    Actually...my favorite is October.  There is something about the crisp cool fall days that I just love.

VJM...I'm with you, anytime I can get out is good.
June is good, not too hot around here (yet) and usually the spring rains are winding down, warm but not too humid days and cooler nights.

October is good as well. Kiddies are back in school (we're retired), easy to find a good camping spot, quiet camp grounds, really cooler nights and days.

Our first trip is around Mem day for a week and 1/2. The weather here has been unusually cool, lots of rain and windy. I'd like for it to warm up a bit before we leave (the 24th).

October, I love sleeping when it is cool out.:)

Wayne, maybe you forgot you responded? Sometimes, doing a search will pull up answers to questions that have already been asked...and asked again. Anyway, there are more responses there and you can vote in the poll for anyone who's interested. :)

But there is no "any month I can" option.  Those of us in the north country can't (won't) camp in the bitter cold winter.  Our season is April to October.  November to March is dismal.  So, I guess I'd respond April, May, June, July, August, September and October.

A question so nice you have to ask it twice!

"Recently"    :p  . That thread was started 10-31-2004 (although I did post to it nearly 3 months ago).

Heck, I can't remember what I had for breakfast.....and please.....don't ask me what movie I went to last :eyecrazy:

It may be that "Halvesheimers" kicking in :p . Although, more than likely, I am just excited about June coming up :#  :-()

I love to go camping most any month.  I love the Beach in the summer, June July or August.  I love the mountains in September and the River or whevever else we can go in October.

I REALLY love a campfire when you need it.  I have set around many a fire in the summer and moved further and further away and that's OK, you gotta have a fire.  But, when you need a fire and can sit and enjoy the warmth that is one of my favorite camping times.

Speak for yourself. :yikes: COTOC had a group trip in February and the temps were down in the single digits at night and only around 30 during the day.  And the temperatures were in degrees Fahrenheit, not Celsius.

I expect this to become an annual trip for COTOC, we had a lot of fun, including gathering around the campfire.:)

BRRRR!  I was thinking of my family when I put the can't in my post and I was thinking of that February trip when I put the won't in there.  We were in sunny and warm Florida at the time you were doing that.  Of course, that trip wasn't all fun and games for us.  There were a few things we had to deal with during that time that we wouldn't wish on anyone.  I commend you hardy souls who can venture out in that weather.  IIRC, looking at the photos posted of that trip, most were of the campfire.  I thought that was most appropriate.  It might be a good time as long as you don't freeze any 40 gallon black water tanks.  Hey, maybe you should invite Robin Williams next year!

BTW, I have engaged in some extreme camping myself.  When I was a Boy Scout in High School, I think I remember earning a badge for completing at least 1 overnight backpacking trip in each month of a 12 consecutive month period.  That was tent camping with campfire cooking.  No campground for us.  We just hiked out until we found an appropriate spot to stop in the middle of the woods.

In the end, if I dragged the family out in a popup in February, we'd probably be selling it in March.
