San Marcos TX Trip Any Suggestions???

Hey everyone!!

I am a newbie, just bought our Fleetwood Niagra.  We have taken it out only twice.  Still calling our dealer for all kinds of questions....

Our next trip we would like to be San Marcos Tx.  Any suggestions for which campground to stay at?

Never camped near San Marcos, but a little north is McKinney Falls SP and Bastrop SP. Both are good places to stay. Hope you have air conditioning!

I like Guadalupe River State Park and its not far; Or Blanco State Park.
there are meny private camp sites on the Guadalupe river.

We stayed at Pecan Grove RV park (I think that was the name...I know Pecan was in the name) during our son's wedding.  I think almost all the sites were under big Pecan trees.  You could also walk down to the San Marcos River.  We have also stayed at Leisure Camp RV in Fentress, Tx.  Just a few miles from San Marcos.  It was a nice place.  Again could walk down to the San Marcos River.  The only thing we didn't like was it had pay showers and it is open to day use for those who want to go down to the River.   But it was nice.  The other thing I remember about Fentress was there was a record heatwave and it was 113 degrees that week.  Had a little Colman Taos and the AC kept us "cool".
