We'll be pulling out in about 30 minutes. I guess we will be camping (on different coasts) together. :D

We'll be at Doheny CG (Ca). Space #51 if anyone wants to stop by for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. :D

I had been looking for a campground in that area that also had cabins for a quick visit this summer.  I'd looked at Jellystone.  Looks like a nice park, but it's too expensive, especially the cabins.  We won't be there this weekend, but may be in that area for a couple of days later in the season.

dthurk,

Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you. Last weekend I will never forget. I started bleeding internally at the camp grounds. I am glad I was only about 40 miles from home. I was hospitalized four long days. Things are better now.

One thing about this park is that it is very popular. From the end of May to the 1st of Sept it is a nut house. If you have kids it is great. If not, you may want to change your plans. Last year we were there over the fourth of July, with the two dogs. No fireworks, but a band that sang until about 2 AM. The dogs were nuts, and I have to say so was I. The past four weekend we were there. They have a program in the early spring they call site storage. You leave it there until the founding weekend by only paying the weekend fee.

This coming weekend we pick it up I hope.

Sorry to hear about your bleeding.  Have a grand time camping.  I am trying to talk DS into camping this weekend, but he doesn't want too.  We will be camping the 2 weekends after that.  At RB Winter for Memorial Day weekend and Bald Eagle the weekend after.  Both campgrounds are PA State Parks.:)

Glad to hear things are better.  It doesn't sound like it was a fun time.

If we get down into that area, we'd probably be going mid-week sometime in later July.  Things generally seem to be quieter mid-week.  We do have a "young-un", but would also have my mother with us.  She wouldn't take to kindly to noise and all night goings-on.  We may want to keep looking for something more suitable for us.  I can find places north of Rt. 30, not much south that fits us yet.

Lee,

We left early because I have not been feeling well. I do wonder what future camping trips are going to like this year for me. I have two weeks set in July to visit an old friend. Sure hope it works out....

Keep on Camping,
