I understanding what bearing buddies are for, but does anyone use these on their camper axels. Do you like them or not, and wolud you recommend using them? i just think it may help maintain better gease levels between repacking the bearing?  I welcome your comments

Bearing buddies were really designed for boat trailers. When you back a boat trailer in the water, some water can get into the hub. When you push some grease in there, it will push the water out.

IMHO it's not worth much on any other trailer. There is plenty of grease in there to do the job. The purpose for packing the bearings is to inspect them for signs of wear, cracks, pits and hot spots. It's a good idea to inspect the bearings, clean them and pack them every year or 2, more often if the trailer sits in one spot for long periods of time.

I agree with wavery. What do you have for a camper?

My Viking had an E-Z Lube Dexter axle. The axle has a hole drilled in the center with a grease fitting. You have to raise the camper and spin the wheel while you are pumping grease in. The grease flows through the hole and returns by going through the bearings and back out the front around the axle.

Dexter still recommends annual repacking but I do mine every two years on my hybrid which has the same axles.
