anything I can tow w/ a sedan?

Newbie here.  Used to pop-up years ago, but lost the rig.

Now I have only a 4 door sedan.  Owners manual says I can tow 1000 lbs.

There will be one adult and 2 kids (one teen and one tween).

I have heard they are making some very lightweight trailers now.  Is there anything we can tow?

We will be traveling within 200 miles of home for the most part, on gently rolling hills primarily.  No mountains for us.

Any advice appreciated!

How about the small trailers similar to this one.  It's basically a tent on wheels, but just about anything can tow it.  There are other models besides this one, it was the first one that came to mind.

I would expect that even the base Aliner would be too heavy to tow with the 1000 pound weight capacity of the car.  When figuring your tow weight you have to include the weight of everything in the tow vehicle except a 150 pound driver, in most cases.  Air conditioners are an option on the a liners.

To be brutally honest here, I think you need to look into a more capable tow vehicle...until then you might have to stick to tent camping! There are a few extremely small tenter trailers out there, the Fibco comes to mind, so small it could be towed by a large Motorcyle!
