I'm attempting to mod a small fan to assist the fridge during warmer temperatures.  Can anyone tell me what to use or where to get a small thermostatic switch to cycle the fan on and off as needed?  I called radio shack but the don't have anything.  I thought i read somewhere in this forum that folks were using some sort of thermostat for this mod.  Thanks for yous help.

You need a snap disc thermostatic switch.  I got an electrical engineer friend to tell me where to get the one I've got on my fridge mod.  I will check my records and see if I can figure out where I got it from.  It cost less than $5.  the shipping was more than the part.  I'll check when I get home after the Memorial Day weekend.  In the meantime, you can google snap disc switch and a bunch of things will pop up.  According to my Electrical Engineer friend the fact that it may be rated at 110v isn't an issue if you are using it on 12v.  Just find the one with the correct temperature activation and go with that one.  good luck
