Our family spent a nice weekend in our pop up at Riverside Park Motel and Campground (http://www.riversideparkcampgrd.com/index.html).

The facility is nice and quiet and sits across the road from the Niagara river about 15 minutes from the Falls.

Within the facility is a pool and miniature golf.  The play area for kids is a little sparse but the staff is friendly.

We purchased a multiple event pass and used it to the max.  It includes free transportation around town and passess to Maid of the Mist, Walk Behind the Falls etc.

Our weekend was in late September so we missed most of the heavy tourist traffic.

We were there in 2005 and I agree completely.  Very nice campground and even nicer hosts!

We are seasonal in this campground and love it.  Let me know if you are in the area, I always like to meet folks from the boards.

Cool,
We will probably be coming near middle of July right around the 15th as an arrival date and stay for a week. We were looking for a better CG than Shalamar and I guess you found it. Will be nice to see you again.

Will be good to see you again too Charlie.  We are not hard to miss.  5ver by the washrooms  :eyecrazy:  we have moved up also from the pop up. We spend most weekends there and if the weather is really warm the weekdays too.  No pool at home and its less then 15 minutes to the campground.  DH can commute and since I work mainly in the schools I am off!!!.
If anyone wants Shalamar information you will have to send me an email and I can tell you a story you would NOT want to hear.
