Your green mat is nice. With your rec I got the 9x9 mat from Cherrybrook and I love it. It's very party friendly! If you know anyone with a blue motif and needs a mat, I found one for $21 plus shipping. The price was good so I ordered 2 of them. Will let you know about the quality later.

Hi Jeanie, if you still have the blue mat i'll take it off your hands, i have the blue motif and could use it. Let me know how much with shipping and i'll take it off your hands. Thanks.........Ed

Let me clarify something....The $99 one we got from Cabelas is not as easy to set up and take down as Griffsmom's.   It was not that difficult to set up, but you had to carry everything you wanted to use from the trailer to the kitchen and take it back out again when you put it away because it had to go into the carry case.   It was nice once it was set up, but it was very heavy for me to carry and it added extra weight that Sal didn't like.  Maybe if I had seen Griffsmom's I might have purchase that one instead.  It seems real nice not to have to unpack everything when you want to store it.

When I was little and we used to camp in my parents pop up their whole kitchen slid out of the pop up thru a door on the side.  Sink, stove and cabinets - I have no idea why they took that feature out.   It made the inside roomier and everything was outside in one quick move.

Lori was your parents camper an Apache Yuma?
The later model year Yuma had that feature.

I honestly do not know who made the camper - but it seemed to be a great feature.  It slid right out of a door under the canopy - it had a wooden "leg" on the far end to hold it up....pretty cool if you ask me.

I seen pics of a Montgomery ward with that feature too, it pulled out lengthways out the rear door side under the canopy and had one or more support legs.
The Apache Yumas were all ABS panels with no canvas and the kitchen pulled out sideways on the door side.
I don't know if any modern popups offer that feature?

What I've noticed on some of these camp kitchen setups is they are too low to the ground making them uncomfortable to work on.

The best solution for me is just a sturdy folding table.  I had one of the lightweight wobbly ones for many years, but recently found a heavy duty and very sturdy plastic topped caterer's style table (WalMart - $40)

For kitchen gear storage, we use an assortment of Rubbermaid style totes.
