French Broad River, NC Campground ?

We are looking at the French Broad River Campground for Labor Day. Two children who love tubing, so that being close to campsite is great. Can anyone give me a review?

We went there is June, the river is fun to play in, the sites are on the small side, the garbage trucks flying down the road are loud in the morning and the train across the river can rumble your camp site.

We were there during the week, maybe on the weekend the garbage trucks are not around and the train won't run so often.  But we always make the best of things....the kids loved watching the train go by and counting the cars and we put up with the garbage trucks going by cause we loved playing in the river. River was on the low side too, but we still had a great time playing in it!
(look at my other post about Asheville camp grounds, I too asked about this place! the pictures on the internet are great, aren't they?)

not sure where you are at, but here is a campground that is by a river
//www.deepcreekcamping.com/  we have never camped there, but have tubed down the river at this location.  It was great fun.  But keep in mind the river might be low, I would ask when you call
