Food choices?

Steaks, hamburgers, chicken, potatoes, hotdogs, eggs & bacon, sausage, toast, and cereal.  Plus the once a trip type stuff the wife likes to cook.  If it was me I'd eat steak and hamburgers every day but the wife prefers variety ;).  

We used a Coleman Roadtrip grill with a 12' LPG attachment hose & T to our main tanks for most of the season and it worked great but was hard to clean up.  We just got an RVQ with our new camper and while it is small having it hang on the outside of the camper and be hooked into the camper gas line (no loose hoses on the ground) has been nice.  It doesn't cook using direct flame but once it heats up it cooks better and faster than our Coleman does.

I do most of the cooking when camping (a definite switch from home), unless I'm busy setting up/taking down or the like.  

We cook inside a lot- especially breakfast.  Lunch on the road is also done inside.  I think the inside stove burners are probably about 6500 BTU.  My Lodge cast iron griddle fits perfectly across the inside stove's two burners and works great for pancakes and Hormel pre-cooked bacon.  I try to avoid messy frying inside.

Otherwise I like to cook outdoors.  I use a combination of a Coleman 2 burner propane stove and a Weber Gas Go Anywhere Grill.  The Coleman burners are 11,000 BTU each.  My Lodge cast iron griddle fits perfectly across the top of the Weber; it's too short to span the Coleman's wider set burners- though there is a model available for that application.

Clean up outside is easier because I don't have to worry about spills or stray water.  I use two plastic dishpans as a double sink and my outside shower as the faucet.

Up until now the biggest hassle cooking outside has been schlepping dishes, pans, & utensils back and forth.  I think that's solved since I just ordered a Campmate Portable Kitchen from LL Bean.  It's like a plastic chuck box with room for all my dishes, cutlery, pans, & condiments.  I plan to rig a mount to the Chalet sidewall so that I can hang it over the kitchen sink and easily lift it off for outdoor use or travel.
